Castle Bromwich junior school has decided to back their Unions decision to opt their year six pupils out of the 2010 SATS tests. The decision was taken after consultation with the Goveners and teaching staff at the school and feedback from affected parents.

Loss of green space on Lanchester Park where residential development is proposed to take place has been left barricaded, as yet no signs of any work been carried out has been shown. How long is this waste land going to be left like this. Residents do not appear to happy with this due to the unsightly nature of the overgrown vegetation. No one was available from Solihull Council to put forward any comments.

Transport Authority Centro has included plans to re open Castle Bromwich station as a commuter route into Birmingham. A public consultation is taking place and is due to close on the 11th September.

Jaguar Land Rover workers and union's are awaiting the news on which of the West Midlands plants are being selected to close. Late last year the news that one would be closed was released by the company. Since then the MD 'David Smith' has left and being replaced by Carl-Peter Forster.......

SOLIHULL Conservative councillor denied sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl when he appeared in court on the 2nd June 2009. Councillor Ian Hillas, represents the Castle Bromwich ward, appeared before Warley Magistrates after he was arrested by police on Monday.
